Thanks for your insight…I am well aware of the Mary Kay rules and regs! Yes you should NEVER use their trademark and I know this! This is a push for creativity. This is a push for creativity and being able to stand out. Image ads get the most clicks…take out the MK products and put something like 10 Skin Care Tips They Don’t Tell You About, but charge your $1000s! Picture of a woman with blemishes and anchor your link so your that the image is clickable…Good Luck!
as a Mary Kay Consultant i am very offended by the posts defending this illegal practice.Mary Kay had and still has very high moral standarts,and anyone trying to find a way around the rules,is really not living up to them.This is NOT legal no matter how you try to present it.

Yea, you have to know how to word the ads.
That’s because your post is in the wrong place. You can post facials under the free ad, but post it as “free skincare classes” and don’t mention MK.
You are not allowed to sell Mary Kay cosmetics on Craigslist and it defeats the purpose and the whole process of selling mary kay the way it was intended…through relationship selling. As a good and successful consultant, you are supposed to develop relationships with your customers, let them know you are there for them, so they know you truly stand behind the 100% satisfaction guarantee. If you want to use the internet, MK has a professional website for your use if you are a consultant.
They DON’T allow you to post on Craigslist, I received a letter from the Legal department just a week after posting on Craigslist – and I wasn’t selling product, I was offering to do facials and parties. I contacted Legal and they said that I’m not allowed to post on Craigslist, eBay, Facebook, etc. and there is no ‘approved’ way of doing so.
This is against the Mary Kay Beauty Agreement. You could lose your Directorship doing this.
I’m also a consultant. How did the Craiglist ad work for you?
Yes they do now. You need to use their pre-approved ads.
It’s all in the way you do it.
