Dr. Bodeker speaks about Malay herbal traditions and the creation of the book, “Health and Beauty from the Rainforest: Malaysian Traditions of Ramuan”. The book brings together the collective knowledge of everyday health care practices of many diverse Eastern cultures, including Chinese medicine and Ayurvedic traditions of India. These practices were integrated with native Malay herbal traditions of the rainforest. Today, modern science is proving the validity and value of these traditional herbal treatments.
